Where can I go to learn about how to use the scoreboard?
You’re starting in the right place. Most of the information you need is on this page. We’ve also got a library of video guides and training resources to get you familiar and comfortable using the system in the “Video” section of the home page.

What’s the cost of membership for my club players, coaches and officials?
The cost for each player registered is $20 per year. Coaches and Officials are both priced at $20 per year. All payments can be made through our quick and easy payment system (logon to find more details). Administrators are able to access information for their team or league through a FREE membership. Without you, we would never get any basketball played!

I’ve already got a scoreboard in our gym. Why do I need this one?
The BBaLL Scoreboard is more than a gym based visual scoring solution. It never breaks down or needs maintenance. It's never out of date and can be updated with new videos and images for every game at the click of a mouse. It’s a fraction of the cost, requires no installation and can travel everywhere with your team.

I don’t have any free wall space in my gym to project onto. Can I still use one?
Yes, there are options available to you for use with any TV set if you connect your laptop to it. Additionally, there are smaller projector systems that are portable and can be positioned next to you on the scorer’s table. Examples of these are available at the “Web Shop”.

My gym isn’t wireless and there’s no internet connection, so how will it work for me?
There are two options here for you. Install a VODAFONE wireless router into your laptop and log on through the phone networks or alternatively just save the game data and then when you’re next online the system will automatically upload your game to the website. Easy!

I’ve been trained with the paper based score book. How easy is this to learn and use?
This system is so easy it’s not true! The old paper based system of working involved 16 different functions, without including the timer, foul markers and possession arrows. This does it all for you in no more than seven functions. Sit back and relax, scoring basketball has never been so interesting or straight forward.

How do I register my team, players, coaches and officials?
Registering is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Click the “Join Now” button and enter your details, make sure you select which category you want to register under (Player, Coach or Official). Assign yourself to your team and league to ensure all your hard work on court is recorded in the right place. If you forget anything, you can always adjust your profile in your “Member Area” at a later date.

How do the parents of my players get involved?
Parents can be invited to join via email by the young players in their family. Ask the players to “Invite a Friend” and the resulting email will allow the parents to access the site and join as family members. Mum and Dad can then keep up to date with all the team’s events including live game tracks during games if they can’t make it to the gym.

I want my team to join but my league isn’t a registered league. Can I still benefit?
Of course, you can benefit by having your team’s details with their own page and populate it with all the data from your games. Just take your table official, assistant coach or statistician to both home and away games so your team’s data will always be updated. The other teams will see the benefits and maybe join your revolution to improve basketball in your area.

I’m a player and want to personalise my page. What’s the best way to start doing this?
You can upload videos or photos of your choice to personalise your page so when other members visit they know what it is you’re all about. This can be done through the “Hello” Section in the top right hand corner of your page where you can manage and edit your accounts and profile. You can add information into any of the sections on “News, Events and Contacts”. Your personal and team stats will be shown on the page so people can see what a good season you’re having.
You can do as much or as little to your page as you wish.

My Club administrator isn’t great with computers. What do you suggest I do?
You’ve got lots of choices to solve this question. The first option would be to show your current administrator just how easy it is to use this system with our on line video training guides.
Alternatively you could offer your support or some of your friends to take turns in scoring games to make the job of your administrator easier.

How does the “live score” function allow me to track games from my computer at home or work?
As a parent or friend of a player you can log on and track the game of your team via your own scoreboard. You’ll know who’s just scored or fouled when and where with only a ten second delay while the data transfers from the gym to your computer.

I want to buy items from the web shop. How can I pay for these?
The BBaLL Scoreboard Web Shop is registered with Pay Pal that will handle all your transactions in the most secure way. Just use it like any regular web shop by selecting the goods to purchase and check out to make your way to the payment pages. Your goods and downloads will be available to you right after the payment is confirmed.
